One of the Ancient and Oldest SLV Temple Harikhandige having History of over 5 centuries. Phalguna Shuddha Ashtami of Shrimukha Samvatsara dated 14-03-1514 Saturday, Prathishtapana of The Divine Diety of the temple was conducted. Thereafter Punah Prathistha was performed on Jyestha Shudda Punchami of Vibhava Nama Samvatsara dated 28.05.1928. As such devotees have celebrated `Pancha Shatamanotsava' in a grand and memorable way during the year 2014-15 Jayanama Samvatsara. Now, the temple is passing through 510 years of existance.

In the history of way back to 510 years, Gaud Saraswath Brahmin Community people migrated from GOA and settled down at Sanekallu and Kapady villages near Harikhandige at the Banks of Swarna River in Udupi Taluk. These GSBs predominently engaged in agriculture and farming activities. While migrating from GOA to Byrampalli and Shiroor villages of Udupi taluk, GSB community people were very strong and faithful in following religious practices...

We take Pleasure in informing that the committee has taken a decision to renovate our ancient temple's Shrimad Sudhindra Thirtha Kala Mandira.

During 1962 Shrimad Sudhindra Thirtha Kala Mandira including Agrasale was constructed. Shri Sudhindra Thirtha Kala Mandira adjacent to the temple, needs major repair as it was built 62 years ago. The Managing committee after consulting with Devotees of the temple, arrived at the decision to renovate the entire Kalamandira structure and placed the matter of renovation before his Holiness Shri Kashi Mathadisha Shri Samyamindra Thirtha Swamiji and sought their guidance and blessings. Swamiji blessed us and accepted our 'Binnaha' and performed Shilanyasa on 24-02-2024.
